Global Communications Assistant Ref: PV01

Location: Manchester

Responsibilities

The Content Development team is responsible for creating test content for clients in a broad range of subjects, on a global scale. This is a growing, global team, keen to develop working practices that enable information and processes to be shared in a more open and efficient manner, using the tools provided by the business. The selected intern will be working on a project to identify the ways that the global team can communicate more effectively to share ideas and best practice; developing and implementing a plan to encourage global collaboration.

Project Management Intern Ref: PV02

Location: Manchester

Responsibilities

The Project Management team is responsible for the management of all day-to-day implementation and delivery of activities for Pearson VUE's clients. The team is looking to introduce a client launch plan to increase invisibility of client launch projects within the Programme Management team. The selected intern will be responsible for creating a client launch timetable, which will form a part of the monthly Client Highlight report and communicate all changes to Programme Managers.

Required skills, attributes and qualifications:

  • Minimum 2:1 degree classification (preferably in a Project Management/Business Area)
  • Sharp attention to detail
  • High level of organisational skills
  • An interest in Project Management
  • An ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of individuals in the business.

Finance Intern Ref: PV03

Location: London

Responsibilities

Covering planning and forecasting, compliance and commercial activities, the Finance division works closely with a broad range of colleagues across Pearson VUE to meet business objectives. The selected intern will support the team with month end duties, cost models for new prospects, month end reporting, amongst other duties. This is a great opportunity to gain commercial awareness and an overview of the financial process.

Required skills, attributes and qualifications:

  • Minimum 2:1 degree classification in a finance or business subject
  • An interest in finance
  • Good 'A Levels
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a team, strong communication and leadership skills, outside of an academic context.

Legislation and Regulation Intern Ref: PV04

Location: Manchester

Responsibilities

The Business Assurance team is responsible for facilitating Continual Improvement across the business. As part of their commitment to assist the business in becoming compliant with legal and regulatory obligations, the Global Business Assurance team has developed a database of international laws and best practice methodologies. Working closely with the team, the selected intern will be responsible for researching legal information from international sources, providing guidance and best practice on legal matters, feeding information into the legal and regulation database and assisting with building a tool to receive up-to-date legal information.

Required skills, attributes and qualifications:

  • Minimum 2:1 degree classification in Law
  • A well rounded knowledge of legal matters including disability law, data protection and employment law
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Research skills
  • Logical and methodical approach
  • Self-motivation
  • Ability to use initiative and work with minimal supervision

Paralegal Ref: PV05

Location: Warrington

Responsibilities

The Pearson VUE legal team supports all aspects of the VUE business, dealing primarily with commercial contracting issues with sales teams, but also all legal issues impacting the business, including contentious matters, regulatory issues, intellectual property, real estate end employment. The team is working to stream-line legal processes to improve the efficiency of the provision of advice. The selected intern will work to document the processes to be followed, when seeking legal support for deals within the EMEA region. This will include documenting process flows, developing forms and providing support to finalise a suite of template agreements, in house-style.

Required skills, attributes and qualifications:

  • Minimum 2:1 degree classification
  • Completed legal practice course
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Understanding of key legal concepts in the areas of commercial contracting
  • A clear and concise writing style
